“To Win Bengal, BJP Will…”: Mamata Banerjee’s Big Claim For 2026 Election

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday launched a fierce attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that the party is attempting to influence elections through unethical means. Speaking at a public event, Banerjee claimed that the BJP is ready to “trade Gujarat for Bengal” in its pursuit of electoral power, hinting at a political bargain aimed at manipulating outcomes in key states.

Banerjee accused the BJP of using central agencies, financial pressure, and misinformation campaigns to tilt the electoral field in its favour. She alleged that the ruling party at the Centre is orchestrating large-scale fraud to secure victories instead of relying on democratic support.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief also warned that her party would resist any attempts to destabilise West Bengal politically. She reiterated that the people of Bengal would “never allow outside forces to decide their future,” stressing that the state’s mandate cannot be bought or traded.

The BJP, however, has rejected her allegations, calling them “baseless” and “politically motivated.” Party leaders said Banerjee is making such statements out of fear of losing public support and accused her of diverting attention from her governance failures.

Banerjee’s remarks come at a time of heightened political tension, with both parties preparing for upcoming electoral battles. The exchange is expected to intensify as campaigns heat up across the state.
