Warning: Central government warns that employees arriving late will not fare well.

The Central Government has warned of strict action against its employees coming late to office. He has asked senior officials to take this matter seriously. Complaints were being received continuously that many employees were not registering their attendance in the Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).The Center has started cracking down on government employees who come late to office. In the order issued by the Personnel Ministry, it has been said that action should be taken against such employees.

It was said in the circular by the Personnel Ministry that leaving office early will be considered the same as coming late to office. Data related to punctuality and attendance of the employee will also be looked at while considering important assignments, deputation, training and transfer or posting.

The circular issued by the Personnel Ministry said that strict action can be taken against those employees who will not use AEBAS. The ministry has asked all central government departments to ensure that employees mark their attendance on the Aadhaar enabled biometric attendance system without fail. The ministry said that departments will download reports on the portal and identify employees who do not mark attendance.

Half CL will be cut
“For each day of delay, half a day’s CL should be deducted,” the ministry said in the circular. But not more than twice a month for a delay of up to 1 hour. If there are valid reasons for coming late to office, it can also be excused by the competent authority. It said that disciplinary action can be initiated against government employees who habitually come late.
