Valley Queen Express: This train passes through 172 bridges, its journey is exciting

The popularity of the heritage train i.e. ‘Valley Queen Express’, which showcases the country’s heritage, is continuously increasing. It is attracting tourists a lot. Due to this, the number of passengers in this train is continuously increasing. This train passes through two tunnels which are about 100 years old and 172 small and big bridges. The journey of this train is full of thrill. The Valley Queen Heritage Train has one air-conditioned chair car and one power car coach. Its diesel engine is designed like a steam engine. Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, said that this train operates on the meter gauge track between Marwar-Khamlighat-Marwar. This tourist train, which operates 5 days a week, takes people to visit various scenic spots in the ghat area. The Marwar-Khamli Ghat railway section, built before independence in the picturesque hills of Aravalli, has been kept meter gauge by the Railways in order to maintain its heritage. The state’s first heritage train ‘Valley Queen’ is being operated on this section between Marwar-Khamlighat-Marwar. This train was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi by flagging it off on October 5 last year.

This railway track is 47 kilometers long

This 60-seat train has an AC chair car, a general coach and a 20-seater window cabin. Two winding tunnels on the track increase the thrill of the journey. This 47 km long meter gauge railway line from Marwar to Khamlighat amidst the Aravalli hills has become the basis of tourism in this area full of natural beauty. Due to this, tourism has developed here. Various other employment opportunities related to tourism have also increased.

There are many religious places on this railway route. There is a temple of Mataji situated here in Jogmandi. There is a temple of Guru Gorakhnathji on the hill near Goram Ghat station. Parvat Singhji ki Dhuni is situated after Goram Ghat station. Due to this belief, even today people come from far and wide to visit the Samadhi of Parvat Singh Maharaj. The U-shaped bridge at Goramghat attracts tourists a lot. There is greenery around the calm water below.

Bhil Beri waterfall attracts tourists
During the trip to Goramghat, tourists do not forget to see the Bhil Beri waterfall which falls from the highest height in Rajasthan. This waterfall looks like Dudh Sagar Waterfall located on the border of Karnataka and Goa states. This region is called Kashmir of Rajasthan from July to October. Due to Khamlighat being at a higher altitude than sea level, the weather here remains quite pleasant. The huge banyan trees also attract tourists a lot.

According to Captain Shashi Kiran, 646 passengers have enjoyed the exciting journey in the train in the last two months. From this, Railways received a revenue of Rs 527114. A large number of people are also enjoying the thrill of the journey by making reservations in groups.
