Good news for the youth, Primary Teacher Eligibility Test in November, forms will be filled from October 1

There is good news for the youth who are dreaming of becoming teachers in Madhya Pradesh. The eligibility test to become primary teacher (class-3) in government schools of Madhya Pradesh will start from November 10. MP Staff Selection Board has released the examination schedule. Online forms for the examination will be filled from 1st to 15th October. After this the exam will be held on 10th November.
After the higher secondary teacher recruitment held in 2023, now it has been decided to conduct selection examination after eligibility in primary teacher recruitment also. To become a teacher one has to pass two examinations. There will be one eligibility examination and another main examination. The examination is being conducted for schools of the School Education and Tribal Affairs Department.

Qualification for teacher recruitment

To become a Primary Teacher, Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and two years Diploma in Elementary Education or Higher Secondary with at least 45% marks and National Council for Teacher Education (Recognition, Standards and Procedures) Regulations. As per 2002, two years Diploma in Elementary Education or Higher Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50 percent marks and 4 years Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) or at least 50 percent marks. Along with this, Higher Secondary or its equivalent and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) or Graduation degree and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
