Dr. Kar, an expert in surgical oncology and having vast experience in medical administration, has again returned to AIIMS Bhopal. The last time he came, the situation was not special. Officers in many departments were working as per their wish. Looseness was everywhere. In those times, Dr. Kar was the head in name, but the actual decisions were taken somewhere else. He took time to understand the organization and adapt himself to the system.
Now after getting the extension, his attitude has changed. It has been clearly said that now everything will be done according to the patients, and we will personally keep an eye on every rule and regulation, every small and big process. Where any problem was noticed, immediate intervention was taken. The Ministry reposed confidence in him, and Dr. Kar has shown that he has fully justified that trust. Gradually the atmosphere of AIIMS Bhopal is changing.
Dr. Kar’s name is already big in the field of cancer surgery. Has worked in international institutes like MD Anderson, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Royal Marsden. AIIMS Bhubaneswar also has a strong track record of leadership.
