The last date to apply for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 has been extended. Those interested and eligible candidates who have not yet applied for these posts can now apply till 3rd October. For this, candidates can register online for GATE 2025 through the official website gate2025.iitr.ac.in. GATE is an entrance examination for admission to master’s and doctoral programs and for recruitment by some public sector undertakings.
Many public sector undertakings including Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) and Grid Controller of India Limited (GRID-INDIA) use GATE 2025 results to recruit candidates. Where the GATE 2025 results of Civil Engineering (CE), Chemical Engineering (CH), Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC), Electrical Engineering (EE), Instrumentation Engineering (IN) and Mechanical Engineering (ME) papers are available for recruitment in NPCIL. Whereas the results of Electrical Engineering (EE) paper will be used in the recruitment of GRID-INDIA.
Apart from this, a valid GATE 2025 score can be used to get admission in many programs. These include master’s programs and direct doctoral programs in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts or humanities, and in relevant branches of engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts or humanities in institutions supported by the Ministry of Education and other government agencies. Doctoral programs are included.
For the first time, the Department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering (BSBE) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Kanpur) will admit MTech students through the GATE 2025 examination. GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on weekends on February 1, 2, 15 and 16.
